This week we have Mermaid crowns, underwater Horseman, and the Gilmore Girls.
1. Dazzling Crowns Adorned with Seashells Transform Women Into Modern-Day Mermaids | My Modern Met
“Floral crowns may be a staple for festivals and whimsical parties, but Chelsea Shiels is taking the world by storm with her mermaid-inspired, seashell-encrusted headdresses. The glittering designs are loaded with small conch shells, crystals, and gold accents that will make anyone wearing them feel like Princess Ariel. Shiel beautifully integrates her different findings, mixing and matching colors and textures to create multifaceted, wearable works of art that have a modern, bohemian vibe.”
Absolutely gorgeous craftsmanship. Check out the link for her instagram.
2. This BoJack Horseman Episode Is a Must-Watch, Even If You’ve Never Seen the Show | Vulture
“”Fish Out of Water,” a.k.a. the underwater episode, plays out as if the iconic Looney Tunes director Chuck Jones were tasked with doing a Charlie Chaplin–inspired Fantasia segment. It also has my favorite joke of the year (but more on that in a bit). Tonally and formally inventive, silly and bittersweet, visually and sonically beautiful: It’s a much-watch, and the best part is, you don’t have to have watched a single other episode of the series to love it.”
BoJack Horseman has been blowing up Netflix for 3 seasons, check out this concept episode and maybe you’ll do some binge watching this week.
3. Channing Tatum to Play Mermaid in ‘Splash’ Remake for Disney | THR
“Disney is moving forward on a remake of the 1984 film Splash with an interesting twist: Channing Tatum will star as the mermaid character that was played by Daryl Hannah, while Jillian Bell will play the character originally played by Tom Hanks.”
Channing Tatum and Jillian Bell, both from 22 Jump Street, will be remaking the 1984 film and I think we can easily say how excited everyone will be for a beautiful merman.
4. 13 Times MARGARET ATWOOD Owned SDCC | 13th Dimension
“Y’know, I was not at San Diego Comic-Con this year. But my lord, every time I checked Twitter — which was a lot — I kept seeing Margaret Atwood, whose graphic novel Angel Catbird is due out this fall from Dark Horse.
I think it’s great.”
Atwood gonna Atwood.
5 . ‘Gilmore Girls: A Year in the Life’ Teaser Trailer: Lauren Graham & Alexis Bledel Dive Back Into Their Banter | indiewire
“While the seasons may change, some things never will. Lauren Graham and Alexis Bledel reunite to reprise their beloved roles of the mother-daughter, gabbing duo in this Netflix special. “A Year In The Life” includes four 90-minute chapters, each spanning one of the four seasons: Winter, Spring, Summer and Fall.”
You’re favourite ladies of Stars Hollow are coming back on Netflix, November 25th.
